Fees

fees

We believe in transparency and easy-to-understand fee information. Please see the information below. If you have any questions about fees, payments, or insurance, please feel free to contact me for questions.

The Psychologists’ Association of Alberta provides a recommended fee schedule for registered psychologists. As of January 1, 2025, the suggested rate for individual, couples, and family therapy is $235 for a 50-minute session. We offer competitive rates to ensure affordability.

Additional services such as report writing, phone consultations, letters, or form completion are billed at the applicable hourly rate. If a session extends beyond 50 minutes, incremental billing may apply. Our fees reflect my qualifications and experience for the services provide and are subject to change.

Payment Options

Payment is collected at the end of each session. I currently accept:

  • Debit

  • Credit

  • Direct billing may be possible via Telus eclaims

  • Other billing options may exist on a case-by-case basis - please call for options

Therapy fees may also be eligible as medical expenses for tax purposes. If you’re unsure, it’s best to check with your accountant.

sliding scale options

I believe therapy should be accessible. Limited sliding scale spots may be available based on financial need. If this is something you’d like to explore, feel free to reach out and ask.

Insurance & Coverage

Direct billing is not available at this time. Many extended health plans do cover counselling services, either partially or in full, up to a yearly maximum. After each session, you’ll receive a receipt that you can submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement.

Because coverage varies, it’s a good idea to confirm the details of your plan, including:

  • Whether counselling or psychological services are covered

  • Provider credential requirements (CCC, Registered Psychologist, Provisional Psychologist)

  • Maximum amount per session

  • Annual coverage limits

  • Referral requirements

  • Coverage through a spouse or partner

  • EAP eligibility

  • Health Spending Account options

Cancellation & Refund Policy

If you need to cancel or reschedule, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice. Sessions missed or cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice are charged at the full session rate.

There are no refunds for any services rendered.
