These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Kaylee Banky-Sword website and services. By accessing this website or booking a session, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

Kaylee Banky-Sword provides supportive counselling services for personal growth and well-being. Please note that counselling is not a regulated profession in Alberta, and our services are not a substitute for medical, psychiatric, or legal advice. Clients should seek regulated professional support separately if needed.

To use this website or receive our services, you must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) and legally able to enter into a binding agreement. You may not use this website or services if prohibited by law.

Scope of Services
Our services are supportive and educational in nature. They are not suitable for emergencies, crisis intervention, or treatment of serious mental health conditions. Participation in counselling is voluntary, and clients may discontinue sessions at any time. If you are in crisis or experiencing thoughts of self-harm, please contact emergency services immediately (e.g., 911) or a crisis line such as Talk Suicide Canada at 1-833-456-4566.

Online/Telehealth Services
Sessions may be delivered via secure online platforms. While we use Owl Practice for scheduling, charting, and secure communication, and Proton Mail for encrypted email correspondence, all information you provide is submitted at your own risk. Despite industry-standard security measures, no technology can be completely foolproof. Clients are responsible for maintaining a private, secure environment and using secure devices for sessions and communications.

Fees and Payment
Fees for services are listed on our website and are charged in Canadian dollars. Prices may change without notice. Clients may be required to provide credit card information for booking. Cancellations require at least 24 hours’ notice; late cancellations or no-shows may incur a fee.

Privacy and Confidentiality
All client information is treated as confidential in accordance with Canadian privacy laws, including PIPEDA. Exceptions apply only as required by law, including imminent risk of harm to self or others, or situations involving children at risk. Case notes are securely stored and used solely for professional purposes, including treatment planning and follow-up. Sessions are not recorded without express consent.

Intellectual Property
All content on this website, including text, graphics, images, logos, and software, is the property of Kaylee Banky-Sword Counselling. Visitors and clients are not granted rights to copy, distribute, or publicly display any materials without express permission. Any content you submit must be lawful and owned by you, or you must have authorization to share it. We may remove content that violates these Terms.

Right to Modify Services and Terms
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the website or services at any time without notice. We may also update these Terms periodically. Continued use of the website or services constitutes acceptance of any changes.
